Directions:

From the North and West: ( I-40, US 64)

I-40 to NC 751(exit 274). Take 751 south to US 64. Go straight across intersection onto

Olive Chapel- New Hill Rd. From Pittsboro on US 64, turn right at NC 751 stoplight onto

Olive Chapel-New Hill Rd. Follow this road without turning, crossing Harris Lake (CP &

L nuclear plant ) and Holleman’s X-rds. Continue straight on Rex Rd. until next

intersection. Turn right on Cass Holt Rd., go 200 yds. and turn left onto Buckhorn-

Duncan Rd. Go 1.2 mi. to entrance of Martin-Marietta quarry and turn right into entrance.

Bivouac sight will be on your right.

From the South and West : ( Sanford )

Go East from Sanford on NC 42 toward Fuquay. At Duncan ( cross roads village about

4.0 miles west of Fuquay) , take left at only crossroads ( just beyond Duncan Baptist

Church), turn onto Cokesbury Rd. (Duncan/Harnett Co. water tank will be directly in

front of you ). Go 2 miles to Martin-Marietta quarry on left. Turn left and bivouac sight

will be on your right.

From South and East: ( US 401 and 421 )

At intersection North of Lillington, take US 401 to Fuquay. Take left turn onto NC 42

(3rd stoplight) and go 2.5 miles to flashing light. Turn right onto Piney Grove- Wilbon

Rd. and go 1.0 mile to Duncan Cook Rd. Make left turn and go to stop sign. Go across

intersection into Martin-Marietta quarry and bivouac sight is on your right.

From North and East: (Raleigh and Clayton)

Take US 401 from Raleigh and NC 42 from Clayton to downtown Fuquay. Make a right

turn onto NC42 (stoplight at Fidelity Bank home office). Go 2.5 miles to flashing light

and make right turn onto Piney Grove-Wilbon Rd. Go 1.0 mile and make left turn onto

Duncan Cook Rd. Go to stop sign, cross intersection and enter Martin-Marietta quarry.

Bivouac sight is on your right.
